Our Story
Golden Child began as The Ink Spot, an Escondido shop built around custom body art, creative independence, and a family-like atmosphere. By 2024, the old name no longer matched where the studio was going.
The rebrand marked a real change. The shop expanded next door, adding 1,300 square feet and more room to serve clients with care. Golden Child became the name for the standard the team was choosing: serious craft, professional service, and a place where people can feel at home.
Who We Are
Golden Child is a diverse group of artists and piercers with different styles, strengths, and points of view. The common thread is simple: they love what they do.
You can feel that care in the work, the shop, and the way clients are treated. The space is polished without feeling cold, creative without feeling chaotic, and grounded in positive energy, clear guidance, and no judgment.

The Name
The name came from a personal story, but its message is bigger than one person. Golden Child stands for the part of us that deserves to be seen, valued, and expressed, especially after feeling overlooked or out of place.
We believe there is a golden child in all of us. A tattoo or piercing can mark what you have lived through, who you have become, or what you choose next. We are here to help you wear that story with care and confidence.

I've been making art since I was a kid and tattooing since 2007. My medium is the human body. Through my tattoo and piercing shop, and my personal coaching business, I help build up people's sense of personal power and agency.
I was once the black sheep of my family, embracing graffiti, punk rock, skateboarding, and getting tattooed at 14, while my sibling was the golden child. Through art, fitness training, and inner work I found the gold shining in me. And I believe there's a golden child in all of us.
This space is dedicated to all the outcasts: everyone, at some time or another, who felt out of place and unappreciated. Let's help you shine, you beautiful, golden child.

Still have questions for us? Here are a few more details you might be curious about.
The new name marked a new chapter for the shop. In 2024, we expanded next door, added 1,300 square feet, and chose a name that better reflected our growth, creative standards, and belief that everyone has something worth bringing forward.
It is our reminder that there is a golden child in all of us. The name speaks to finding value in yourself, expressing who you are, and giving your story a form you can carry.
Creative, welcoming, and judgment-free. We keep the space polished and professional without making it feel cold. You can ask questions, be yourself, and work with people who are genuinely glad to be here.
We hire carefully. Strong portfolios matter, but so do professionalism, consistency, and the right fit with the team. We would rather grow at the right pace than fill a chair with work we cannot stand behind.
Picture the moment you leave glowing: artwork on skin, gold in your grin. We promise a design experience that feels as legendary as the result.
